Opening an account with piggy is a straightforward process. Simply download the piggy app or visit the website and follow the instructions there to open an account. To register, all you need is a smartphone, tablet or computer and a valid ID for a one-time verification scan. Recognized identification documents include the Swiss ID, Swiss driver's license, Swiss passport and foreigner's permit B or C. This simple and efficient process allows you to open your account from the comfort of your own home.

It usually takes no longer than five minutes to open an account with piggy. The entire registration process is completely digital and very simple. If it does take longer, this is probably not due to you, but to technical checks running in the background.

The good news: it's not down to you! As we follow the strictest legal regulations, it is very important to check the identity of our users accurately. This should not normally take longer than a minute.

In rare cases, due to poor lighting conditions or similar circumstances, some ID cards are not fully recognized. If this is the case, simply give us a call on +41 41 244 02 21 and we will verify your ID card manually.

Currently, it is only possible to open one piggy account per person. However, we are working on changing this restriction in the future.

If you have changed or lost your smartphone, you can simply log in with your login details on a new device. If you have a new phone number, please contact our support team by phone on +41 41 244 02 21 or by email to update your account information.

A physical signature is not required to open an account with piggy, as we can make the registration process easier and more convenient for you by using a digital signature. This allows you to do everything from the comfort of your own home without having to appear in person.
